Overview

The Integral Helmet G3 is the Passive Noise Attenuation (PNR) version of the Micro System helmet.

The helmet is specifically designed for use in high noise environments and provides both hearing protection and streamlined full face head protection.

The helmet includes an ear-cup detensioner mechanism which reduces the ear-seal pressure when fitting and removing the helmet. This feature makes the helmet very easy to use whilst ensuring optimum noise attenuation and comfort. The helmet ear-cups are also fully adjustable in four axis to accommodate different head sizes and head shapes and may be locked in position.

The helmet shell is manufactured from carbon composite with a polystyrene/memory foam comfort liner. Other features include a quick release and quick adjust chin strap and clear or tinted visors.

Each helmet includes a specially developed electret noise cancelling microphone, an electronic speech processor and high quality speakers. The microphone IS sensitive to speech but rejects extraneous background noise whilst the speech processor modifies the voice signal to produce a clear and natural sound.

The helmet microphone is protected from wind noise inside the helmet chin guard and is positioned using a control on the outside of the helmet. This control allows the microphone to be moved out of the way during fitting and removal of the helmet and provides fine adjustment in use.

The microphone is mounted in a rubber anti-shcok holder and is protected by a foam wind shielf that can be removed easily for cleaning or replacement.

The G3 features include a fifty percent increase in available helmet volume and immunity to aircraft transponder and mobile telephone interference.

The helmet includes digital power management which protects the battery by putting the helmet into a low power mode when no helmet activity is detected. In addition, a switch is provided on the helmet to disable the battery if the helmet is only used with a Powered Radio Interface and the battery function is not required. Each helmet battery can be recharged up to one thousand times, and does not suffer from Memory effect.

Micro System helmets can be connected to a radio via a range of interface units and are fully compatible with all availaable radio transceivers.
