This sender worked on my VW engine with the Falcon C3-001 CHT gauge. The old sensor was inop. I didnt know if it was the sensor or the gauge, so I replaced the cheaper part first, and it worked. The shielded cable from the sensor had 2x male pins to plug into the pigtail from the gauge itself. So keep the short pigtail on the gauge that has the female ends that connect to the gauge. The sensor plugs into it.

This is my 2nd sensor. After 5 yrs on my Harley, I had to replace the original one. Its perfect! Very reassuring to have a CHT meter on my touring bike. Cost, shipping, installation & quality great.
