Best intercom I have ever owned. Works great with my 760 radio and in a open cockpit environment.
For the price, you simply cant beat it. It took a little time to get it fine-tuned with the handheld radio in my Champ. After I was able to do that, I thought the audio quality was decent. The enclosure itself is a little bulky. I really think the designers could have gotten away with a plastic enclosure as opposed to a fairly thick-gauge metal one.
This is the second Flightcom II intercom Ive purchased. The 1st one was in 2003 that I installed in an 1946 Aeronca Champ 7AC which I sold in 2014. I just purchased a Challenger II and this Intercom provides me a functional/economical intercom. Even when the battery goes dead, Im still able to used the unit on Pilot Only (selection) when used with my battery powered handheld transceiver. Its just what I needed for my Challenger II.
Works fine, good price. A very little bit of static (not for Audiophiles) but is certainly clear enough to reliably communicate
The box to the 9volt battery was very very tight. Difficult to get battery in. Not sure I will be able to get out when it is time to replace it. Otherwise works well and like the expand ability

The product is exactly what they described. However, the included instructions are a bit hard to understand. A quick trip to the factory in Lake Oswego and everything was made simple.
Works as expected, pilot to co-pilot communication is clear and static free. radio communication is as good as the radio is capable of.
I ordered the 2sx intercom system for my side by side with the intention of finding a more economical intercom and radio system, unfortunately they cannot recommend an affordable radio to work with it. Itâ??s just for aircraft with expensive setup. Donâ??t make my mistake , go with a PCI Or Rugged radio Setup if your gonna spend the money.

Great device if you are strictly a user. As an application engineer, I need to know the details so I can deliver working systems to you. FlightCom refused to provide simple specifications and pin out diagram for the user jacks, (NOT the USB expansion jack). If anyone can help me with the 3.5mm recorder input and output jacks pin out wiring, it would be greatly appreciated, A bomus would be to also get the electrical specifications for these two connections. Sorry FlightCom, this is basic information - YOU FAIL. I am looking for aan alternate for my customers. Bill

Ответ:No, it is a portable intercom and is not designed to be mounted in/on the instrument panel.
Ответ:No this will not as your computer does not have .25 and .206 jack input like an aircraft would. You can you Aircraft Spruce P/N 13-04178 but this is only for one headset.
Ответ:Yes, both pilot and co-pilot can have a conversation while power is on and not pluged into the aircraft jacks.
Ответ:If a music device is connected to the IISX per the manual on page 4 "radio, intercom, and music signals will be mixed" (volume control for music is controlled via the music device).
Ответ:Per the manual, the Flightcom IISX 2 place portable intercom can only output mono regardless if the source is stereo or mono. If you have a stereo headset, you would also have to set it to mono when plugged in. In this setting though, you can hear music in both ears.
