Unusual mandrel design of Cherry N Rivets holds rivet and mandrel firmly together prior to installation and insures positive mandrel retention in the installed rivet.

VIBRATION RESISTANT
Rivet sleeve curls over end of mandrel to insure its positive retention.

NO MANDREL POP OUTS
As the mandrel is drawn into the rivet, the end of the rivet sleeve closes in an elliptical configuration... Iocking the mandrel firmly in place!

First letter is rivet material:

Third letter is head style:
P = Protruding L = Large C = Flush

First number is rivet diameter in 32nds of an inch:
For example,--4 is 4/32nds or 1/8" diameter

Fourth letter is type of rivet:
Q = Cherry Q Rivet, structural, self-pluggingFor example,--8 is 8/16ths or 1/2" grip length

Second number is rivet maximum grip length in 16ths of an inch:
For example,--6 is 6/16ths or 3/8" grip length

First number is rivet diameter in 32nds of an inch:

I understand backorders happen but the only status info I had was when I went to the website and looked at the status. I would expect email updates as the back order dates changed, which it did several times. Secondly, I was charged shipping on the first part of my order and again on this back ordered portion. Not having the part in stock is not my fault and the shipping should be waived.

Donald S 28.02.2020	Very good rivet. I was concerned tensile strength was too high for thin fiberglass cowling, but I was wrong. With 120 degree, there is still adequate thickness in countersink and install is flawless.
