Aircraft Spruce has the cheapest and most efficient carburetor exchange available. The new one came properly packaged with everything lock-tite and sealed as needed. Removing some of the screws to add accessories (carb temp, fuel metering, etc) were very difficult but good to know theyre not coming off.

As part of our annual, we determined that our carburetor needed to be overhauled, so I contacted Aircraft Spruce about an overhauled unit with a core exchange. I ordered my carburetor and two days later it was delivered. I returned our old carb and in 10 days our credit card had been credited with the core value. Excellent and QUICK service. This has been my experience in dealing with Aircraft Spruce for over 15 years.

The MA-4SPA 10-5009 carburetor came very well packaged. (2) gaskets were included. The core return process was straight forward and included the return address label. The carburetor looked as if it were brand new. Installed on an O-320 and the engine fired up immediately.

Shipping, packaging and return of core was all first rate and easily accomplished. Carburetor looked like brand new and required minor idle mixture adjustment. I have 8 hours on it and inflight mixture adjustment at altitude is easil obtainable.

No studs for mounting the intake air box weâ??re included. The studs from the old carb were not able to be removed. New studs are not readily available. Plane is down until I get new studs. The carb itself was very nice. Shipping was excellebt. Good customer service.

The Product and quick delivery were fine However I am still awaiting my Core Credit.

Item came with no 8130 form and no gasket. I called Aircraft Spruce to let them I know about the problem and they said they would get back to me about it. I let them I know I had AOG situation and needed the paperwork and gasket ASAP. I ended up calling the supplier that Aircraft Spruce and got the 8130 emailed to me and the gasket sent. Im disappointed that this item was not checked for proper items before being sent out to the customer. The supplier to Aircraft Spruce said that most likely the box was opened at some point and the paperwork and gasket was lost at that point.

This is for a 10-3878 O/H MARVEL SCHEBLER CARB (MA-4-5). Installed easily and replaced carb that was leaking on an O-360. Makes sense. Giving four stars as the kit did NOT include bottom gasket (cmon folks, $800 for the rebuilt carb and you cant give me a $1.40 gasket?) and I had a bit of trouble finding the part number. Eventually I came up with this: 06-02143 TCM 652158 GASKET-BOTTOM FLANGE CARB. It worked well and I would order one along with this kit just to ensure you can install at the same time.

The rebuilt carburetor was promptly received and included gaskets. Most importantly the rebuilt carburetor performed perfectly. It solved a long term issue with the previous carburetor as verified by a recently installed engine monitor. Even though my old carburetor had been rebuilt some time ago it never did perform as well as expected. Purchasing an exchange carburetor with all the current updates and flow tested was a bargain. Core charge has already been returned.
