Tried this as opposed to the parts store stuff for cleaning paint off European alloy wheels, works very well.

The EPA is the real culprit, but this product is barely usable. On a left hand elevator for a C-210, I am on my 9th coat, and have about 80% of the paint removed, and have used almost all, 1 gallon. It would take about 100 gallons to do the entire plane, and hundreds of hours as the user must scrape each rivet. It is bad enough, where if possible, I would as for a refund.

Works great on paint that is almost gone due to age but on the newer paints it is truly pitiful. I had some green epoxy primer on my parts and it barely took the gloss of it. I sanded the part and tried again 0 success . I would not recommend this remover for any reason

This product is a great professional level stripper. It has the same quirks as any other paint stripper, it works best in warmer temperatures, the instruction sheet suggests placing polyethylene or some other plastic over the wet product and that does help a good bit, especially when temperatures are very high and the product dries fast. Iâ??ve used hundreds of gallons of stripper on aircraft and this stuff works as good as any other when applied liberally and in the right temp range. Water neutralizes the product if it makes contact with skin which should be avoided, as well as the parts for cleanup.

For years here at our shop we used Aircraft paint stripper, it worked, and was quite effective. Recently for environmental concerns (i assume) they removed a certain chemical and the product is no longer effective, it just flat out doesnt work at all anymore. For months me and my team searched and searched for a product that worked to no avail. One of my vendors suggested Aircraft Spruces website and mentioned the PTI paint remover by name, we ordered and have been using it ever since. Great product and works perfectly for our needs.

Low odor, works fast, well, and doesnt harm aluminum. I stripped factory glue residue from my entire interior cabin and firewall. Also stripped epoxy paint from individual airframe parts. Good stuff. Burns on contact with skin so must wear gloves.

I first found your site when looking for a polyurethane and epoxy remover. For years I had been using products that a person would get at a local concrete bldg store and I wont mention the likes of names. We all know that such products have been removed and the ingredients have changed to the point they are useless. So with that being said I searched and searched and after buying a few products from the local hardware store I had almost given up. And certainly was reluctant to spend a lot of money to experiment with any more products from a hardware store. In my search I found Aircraft Spruce green PTI paint and polyurethane epoxy remover. I have to say for a person that has been using strippers for many years I was skeptical. I thought why not just get a quart and see if it really works. And so for any potential customers reading my review I want you to be confident that it truly works and does the job. I have read some of the reviews on this product and see there are a few that are negative. So with that being said I first must say you have to know how to use a product that is made for stripping. Tools needed for doing your stripping job Temperature is key. Gloves! Throw away paint brushes or a person can use a quality paint brush and wash it out. This product cleans up very well. Eye protection! One thing I will say about the temperature when it comes to stripping it depends on the item your stripping. Ive used this product on many items now and it reacts a bit different depending on what your removing. So one must experiment a bit. Clean up items needed Rags buy yourself a bag of rags from the local brick and mortar store. They are cheap and you can just throw them away. At least that is what I do. If your working on a big project you will have to strip small areas , dont let your project get ahead of if you. There are however a few tools that are needed that you can not buy. 1. Patience 2.The Will to preserve 3.Experiment and you will gain experience. 4. Safety 5. Acetone Aircraft Spruce has it available. 6.Know that this product will help you achieve your goal. With all this being said I cant thank Aircraft Spruce enough for having a product that is satisfying to use. Its safe and does the job. Ive used it on wood and on metal and even on glass Thank you so very much for your product. I would not be able to do my job without it. Your appreciated
