I have the non ANR and ANR versions. I replaced the ear pads with extra thick pads and fixed the occasional noise leak problem. They are now very quiet and comfortable.

At first the right ear seals did not seal. Swaped the ear seals (left with right) and problem solved. After the swap it works pretty well.

I have been looking at buying this headset for quite sometime now and I kept talking myself out of it. My current headset has treated me well for 17 years and still has a lot of life to go. I am currently in the process of purchasing an aircraft and thought that a new headset would be a nice addition. The price tag was a little outside of my comfort zone so I called the customer service department and asked a bunch of questions. The customer service rep put my mind at ease so I decided to take the chance and go for it. So.... finally after a week or so of steady rain and crappy weather I finally had the chance to test out my new headset and I must say I am utterly disappointed. My issues were 1) Although extremely comfortable, the ear pieces did not sit well. They would not hold a good seal towards the bottom. 2) The ANR function, when activated, induced a low volume static. The only way I could get rid of it was to turn the ANR off.... which defeats the purpose of the number one reason why I purchased it.3) The cell phone connection did not work at all. I tried making an outgoing call as well as receiving an incoming call (all while a qualified pilot was flying) and neither worked. I also tried listening to music and the volume was extremely low but at times it would seemingly go to a very high volume with no input from me. I will be returning this headset and looking for a different one which is disappointing as I really liked the options this one provided for the price as well as the look/style. I dont mean to be so critical in giving this headset a 1 star but I had high hopes for this headset and it seemed to be a disappointment in every aspect. I am however crossing my fingers that I received a lemon and that whom ever else purchased this headset is enjoying it. Should I ask for a new one of the same model???? Thoughts??

This headset is absolute garbage. I bought it thinking the that previous review was just a fluke. it isnt. There is a constant high pitch buzzing feedback the moment you turn the noise cancelling on. I guess if youre already half deaf and cant hear high frequencies this might be for you. Anyone else will be better off buying a real ANR headset like a Bose or a Lightspeed. After buying this piece of crap a multi month saga started with pilotshop, as well. They wont simply take the headset back and return your money. Instead they want you to sent it in to flightcom for repairs, which I did. They eventually sent it back and managed to get the noise level down, but not eliminated entirely. If you remove the soft felt pad in the earcup (held on by velcro) youll see why this is not a fixable problem: the ANR microphone is IN the earcup, right next to the speakers. This is in contrast to every other sane ANR manufacturer out there, who puts the microphone on the OUTSIDE. As anyone whos ever put a mic next to a speaker will tell you: this is how you get feedback. No amount of fixing is going to get rid of this fundamental design flaw. Anyhow, after requesting a refund from Pilotshop again, they finally agreed to take it back. For 85%. So I lose over $60 on this. Save yourself a lot of grief and get something else. Anything else.
