Installed in a Mooney J. The light fit perfectly and is very bright compared to the original. The fit and finish of the light are excellent. Compered to the original, it hardly draws any power. very pleased with my choice. |

Installed in a 1977 C-172. This rental flys a lot but we have to replace the GE4522 bulb about twice a year, and the A&P charge is around $150 a pop. Not to mention that we usually have someone cancel a night revenue flight. This bulb should last a long time and even has a 5 year warranty. After 18 months we will be money ahead. The Whelen engineer told me this 2nd generation LED landing light puts out the equivalent light of a 400 watt old bulb vs the GE4522 that is a 250 watt bulb. Pilots report much greater visibility on landing and taxi. It doesnt burn out and it puts out much more light. Glad we bit the bullet and did the switch out. |

I installed two of these in my 1954 E-35 Bonanza and what a difference they make in landing lights! They are brighter without pulling so many amps like the original 100W flame throwers. Much safer solution - less amps and less heat, allowing me to use them for longer periods of flight for better visibility. |

Installed this LED lamp in my 1962 Mooney M20C, was no problem at all to install was a perfect match for the old GE 4522 lamp, I was very impressed the brightness with this lamp, No comparison to the old GE. Last year I also added the Whelen-Orin 650 LED strobes, which was also very easy to install. Love that when I come in for a landing or taking off I can be seen. A total thumbs up on both these products. |

Finally had a night landing and all I can say is WOW, compared to my previous GE bulb! I could see the runway much further out and the beam width is perfect! Runs so cool & low power, I leave it on during my entire flightâ?¦well daytime anywayâ?¦I mean why not right? LED lights should be your first upgrade! |

Bright as expected. Fit well on my aircraft. The light comes with a round rubber gasket with a U-shaped cross section (with the open end of the U towards the center). The gasket is much to small in diameter to easily stretch around the outside of the light, and the opening of the U is too narrow to properly accommodate the width of the lights rim. The intended purpose of the gasket is unclear. In my case, the previous light did not use a gasket, so it didnt matter. |

Itâ??s an improvement from the original Parmetheis. We leave the landing light on continually, no worries about heat from bulb, power draw, or bulb life. Still ... itâ??s a bit pricey, thus four stars. |
