Overview
| This is an adhesive backed, closed cell foam tape which is available in various sizes by the roll. This tape can be wrapped around the edges of the windows to both cushion and seal. Do not stretch during application, it will pull back and leave gaps. Piper used this extensively in their window installations. The 1-1/4" x 1/16" tape is commonly used when installing Piper PA-28, -32, -34 windows and some others. The other 1/4" tapes are used mainly for vent window gaskets, the 1/4" x 1/8" being the most common. |
