HALON 1211-1301 BLEND |
| These effective fire extinguishers contain a proprietary blend of the "liquid streaming agent," Halon 1211, and the gaseous "total flooding agent," Halon 1301. The blend's power lies in the Halon 1301, which is both a firefighting agent and a propellant. These compact, lightweight extinguishers are low maintenance and non-rechargeable. Fire extinguishers include a mounting bracket.

| Hand-held Halon 1211 fire extinguishers are required on commercial transport aircraft, and for good reason. Although classified a "liquid streaming agent," Halon 1211 also performs remarkably well as a "total flooding agent," seeking out and extinguishing fires in inaccessible places. A 6-year maintenance and 12-year hydrostatic test are required. Fire extinguishers include a mounting bracket or a wall hook. |

| While it is less powerful pound for pound than Halon 1211, Halotron 1 offers all of Halon 1211's clean agent benefits, and Halotron 1 is less damaging to the ozone layer. H3R Aviation offers two Halotron 1 fire extinguishers: one FAA-approved unit for aircraft use and one wheeled unit for the flight line/ramp. These rechargeable extinguishers have pressure gauges and require a 6-year maintenance and a 12-year hydrostatic test. |

Shelf Life
The inspection and maintenance requirements for gauged fire extinguishers such as model C354TS, C352TS and A344T per NFPA 10 call for a 6-year maintenance and a 12-year hydrostatic test calculated from the month and year of manufacture. As long as the extinguisher undergoes the maintenance and passes the test it can remain in service.
H3R Aviation calculates the remaining shelf life of its gauged fire extinguishers by comparing the timing of the 6-year maintenance to the month and year of manufacture per the following formula.
(72 months - Months elapsed from manufacture date) / 72 months = Shelf life remaining
For example, if an extinguisher was manufactured in February of 2009 and the current month is June 2009, it has a remaining shelf life of 94%.
(72 months - 4 months) / 72 months = 94%

Sadly I had to use this for a ground fire on start. Worked like a charm. Did not leave a horrible mess. So glad I had the H3R extinguisher in the plane.

This is your typical every day fire extinguisher. Its used for putting out fires. At the moment, it is a very expensive paper weight. I hope I never have to use it. But if I do, this will be the best investment Ive ever purchased.

Unbelievably quick delivery. I ordered the device one evening at about 5:30 pm. I had it (using normal ground deliveryâ??no special overnight services) by 8:00 pm the next day. Well packed for delivery. The unit is exactly what I needed for my aircraft. It comes with a mounting bracket should I wish to secure it somewhere in the cabin. I plan to have it within armâ??s reach in the pocket on the back of the copilot seat. The unit is top shelf quality. Rugged, well finished and professional. It comes with excellent documentation and periodic inspection forms that are easy to understand and provide a reassuring plan for maintenance for years to come.

This fire extinguisher is well built and easy to install. I cannot rate it higher than 4 as I have not had the opportunity to use it against a fire. Halon fire extinguishers work wonderfully and i cannot imagine not having one in my cockpit or automobile.

Ответ:An 8130 / FORM1 is not required for new fire extinguishers. If you were to get your extinguisher serviced, then it does require an 8130.
