Overview

The Power Buss 2075 is an electronic device designed to control and monitor the electrical circuits in an aircraft. The device employs solid state PTC current limiting fuse devices that automatically remove power from a circuit if it becomes overloaded. Just like conventional circuit breakers, a tripped circuit can be reset by turning off the device for a few seconds, then turning it back on. If a circuit trips due to overload, the pilot will instantly hear a distinctive voice message in his headset, and through the built in speaker. The voice warning will continue until the pilot pushes the panel mounted switch, with built in light, stopping the voice and turning on the built in red light. This provides a visual indication of the tripped circuit. The red light remains illuminated as long as the fault exists. The pilot can check the system at any time by pushing the switch. This performs a self test of the system. If any circuits have tripped, the pilot will hear the voice messages indicating what circuit has tripped. If no circuits are tripped, the pilot will hear the voice message "TEST OK". Connections to the power buss are made by using quick connect terminals. The power buss can be mounted anywhere behind the panel. the combination switch/light should be mounted in the panel, within the pilots normal scan. A separate buss is provided for the avionics. The avionics buss can be turned off whenever the engine starter is engaged. A separate master switch mounted close to the battery is required, as well as circuit breakers for the generator and devices drawing more than 11 amps. Not all circuits need to be used.

The Power Buss is designed for 12volt systems only. Maximum current on the board is 30 amps. Maximum current on any one circuit is 11 amps. The audio output is designed to connect to an unswitched input in an audio panel or a radio.

Note: This system is not FAA approved. It is intended for installation in Experimental category aircraft only.

The Power Buss is available in two versions:

2075-A: Designed specifically for use in both fixed and retractable gear land aircrafts that are powered by Rotax engines. It incorporates PTC fuses and voice messages for the most common circuits used in these aircrafts.

2075-CL: Designed specifically for use in both fixed and retractable gear land aircrafts that are powered by either Lycoming or Continental aircraft engines. It incorporates PTC fuses and voice messages for the most common circuits used in these aircrafts.
