| ACETONE PTI-Acetone is virgin (not recycled) Acetone that may be used to remove lacquer finishes, for cleanup after painting, and to soften lacquers or acrylics that set up in spray guns or hoses. Acetone (dimethyl ketone and 2-propanone) is a clear, colorless, low-boiling, flammable, volatile liquid, characterized by rapid evaporation and a faintly aromatic odor. It is readily miscible in most organic solvents and completely miscible, in all proportions, in water. Acetone is an excellent solvent for a wide range of gums, resins, waxes, fats, greases and oils. Acetone is ideal for thinning fiberglass resin, cleaning fiberglass tools and dissolving two-part epoxies and superglue before hardening. It is used as a volatile component and thinner for some paints and varnishes. As a heavy-duty degreaser, it is useful in the preparation of metal prior to painting; it also thins polyester resins, vinyl and adhesives. Acetone is not effective on urethanes and should not be used. Use MEK for cleanup on urethane products. Use only virgin acetone. Recycled acetone can damage virtually anything to which it is applied. ACETONE WIPES KIT (ACT/WC3) ACT/WC3 Aircraft Detail Kit includes Acetone, wipes and dispensing bucket that all meet and exceed current military and commercial specifications. The dispensing bucket is an airtight container with a gasket to reduce contamination and/or evaporation. ACT/WC3 kit gives you more control over the dispensing and application of your cleaning solution. Because the amount of solution added is measured and fully saturated into each wipe. This results in a max 20% reduction in chemical usage. All these factors make this detail kit the most productive and efficient way clean most any smooth to semi smooth surfaces. 60-wipe Roll. ACT/WA2 kit gives you more control over the dispensing and application of your cleaning solution.
