Worked great in some strong winds in North Central Montana.

works great, compact, easy to set up and remove, seems strong. i like how they dont include a hammer, why raise the price and include a hammer which everyone has. i use the back of a hatchet to drive the spikes, the hatchet doubles as a survival tool if needed.

Purchased these tie downs for a trip to the Oshkosh airshow, they worked great! Previously used a set of screw in tie downs (dog tie out style) which sere very difficult to install into the ground, the Flyties spikes hammered in very easily and removed easily with the included tool. Very pleased!

This is by far and away the best tie down solution Ive tried. The corkscrew and auger types can take forever to set in hard or rocky soils in some cases, nearly impossible. Taking them out usually involves bending them from the high friction. Flyties are super simple to drive AND to remove. Very nice design. Good job, folks.

Used to tie down on a dirt strip. This tiedown kit solidly worked whereas another type of tiedown kit would not even hold when screwed into the dirt. It may be heavy but it works.

I like the design. I liked Bruce at Flyties when I called him about the kit. I liked that he shipped within hours of my placing the order. However, beware that the kit does not weigh 6 pounds: it weighs 7 to 8 lbs to which one must add the 3 pounds of the hammer. Had I known the actual weight, would I have ordered the lighter Portable Tie-down Anchor Kit that I was used to or the Flyties? hard to say. I will keep the FLYTIES because I like the concept I think that it is superiorâ??but I am disappointed in the weight. Yet, should my plane ever be caught in a gale on the ground I may be grateful yet!
