The bulbs are great. Nice and bright and don't pull any noticeable amps. One word of warning these bulbs are polar sensitive. Meaning that the wiring has to be correct positive and negative. Thats not the case however with a normal incandessent bulb. It took me hours before I realized my wires were backward on both sides. One bulb showed up damaged, but Spruce took care of it no questions asked.

I only give the clear tail bulb a one star, I have purchased 6 of these bulbs and not a one of them would go into my Cessna 172s with out filing a portion of the bayonet pins. The last one the pin broke off, so now I have a $33.00 paper weight, (only with no wind). I have sent in one of the red ones for warranty, a number of the individual LEDs in the have failed. During a 100 hour inspection this past week we found another red one with burned out leds. I am going to try another manufacture.

I bought these to replace another brand of LED lights that were causing problems with my radio. They are very bright and do not cause any static over my radio. I bought both wingtip lights and the white tail light. So far they are great. i run them all the time.

Everything was easy to replace, cover and bulbs. We ordered the red lens to replace a missing lens cover, but the main reason for the red and green led bulbs was this: We display a non-flying 1968 UH-1H Huey to the public which is on a trailer. Our problem was that kids would put their hands on the operating lower incandescent bulb position lights which, even on flash, get quite hot. The leds remain cool and their little hands are safe. The reachable upper ones are still incandescent and we are saving our donated nickles to replace them.

No complaints from me. Installation was fast and easy, and the bulb works as advertised. There simply is no comparison in brightness between this and the old incandescent bulb. Hint - for even greater brightness, get the clear lens. Makes a world of difference.

Hello All, I have these installed on my J3C-85-8 , with a Basic BT-14 wind driven alternator with an EarthX battery installed for radio. in Grimes Model B wing tip light mounts.. And they fit, ln the old style reflector ) and put out a very crisp highly visible light that is brighter than an incandescent #93 But when turned off, with the R&G colored dome lenses, the LED are not readily seen so if someone is looking at them, there is no telling that they are not old type bulbs. Great product, and reasonably priced too.

The lamps are great, but use caution when ordering a clear one for your tail lamp. I have Whelen lights all around. The wing tip position lamps fit and work well in the Whelen sockets. Beware that you MUST order the clear lens to replace your red/blue ones. However, my Whelen tail lamp had a combined position and strobe bulb combo, so the clear LED bulb did not fit.

The Green is very bright when used with the clear lens. The Red is not bright at all even with the clear lens. The old incandescent bulb with red lens is much brighter. (Just like the picture shows, green is bright, red is not)

Bright, clean, easy! Use the clear lenses, you will not be unhappy.

Great upgrade that could not be simpler to install. No interference with the radios and the ammeter did not even register when I turned them on.

These replacements seem to be ok but the more LED replacement bulbs you add it seems to mess with my radios more and more. My new garmin comm keeps squelching and sound fuzzier when transmitting and is crystal clear when all LED lights are off. I made sure all grounds are clean too.

These are great drop in replacements for incandescent bulbs. I run nav lights day and night and I now change bulbs ever 3 years instead of every 6 months. This saves time and money. After about 2 years, I noticed a few leds start dying off. After I see about 5-6 of them out, I order new ones. If you use these under a colored lens, no one will notice. They dont come with paperwork, if they did, they would be 3x the price.

These seem to be an OK produce but are CONSIDERABLY dimmer than the incandescents. I called PSA and was told that these bulbs meet the lumen requirement for the FAA, but just barely. I believe it. Both myself and my IA who was doing the field approval agreed that the incandescent was superior in light output if not current consumption. I was told by PSA that the paddle bulbs are MUCH brighter, of course, they are twice the price. For me, for now I am sticking with the incandescents and put up with the 8A draw. I might buy the paddle bulbs later on.

These bulbs, unlike the standard incandescent bulbs MUST be pole correct. As in positive and negative. Took me a whole day to finally figure this out. My wires were switched on both sides. As for the bulb itself, they are worth every penny

These are about the same brightness as a stock incandescent when using the original colored lens globes. They may be brighter with the clear lens. On both of the ones I ordered the upper bayonets were pushed in. That being the case they wouldn't engage the socket channels and so would not stay in the socket properly.

I replaced all my position lights with these bulbs. No issues for over a year. Good buy.

These LED replacement lamps are wonderful! When used with the clear plastic replacement lenses, they are very bright even during the daytime. At night, they become crystal clear and stand out even more. They stay cool to the touch and no movement is observed on the ammeter when switched on. An inexpensive and simple way to be more visible.

This fits just fine in the industry standard Grimes tail light fixture and is plenty bright enough. As an IA I also consider this a minor alteration so it is plug and play.

These bulbs are not as bright as some of the other LEDs on the market but they dont seem to wreak havoc on the comm radios with RF noise so thats a plus. They are about as bright as a stock incandescent bulb but without the higher power draw. Out of all the LED replacement bulbs I have tried the Whelen Chroma bulbs are the best. They are considerably more expensive but worth the money for the blazing brightness with no radio interference. They are also PMA approved for certified aircraft. Bottom line is you get what you pay for.

Fits and works fine. Reduces amp draw significantly on my old 12 ampere generator system. Im hoping it will have a long service life to make up for the cost difference vs. a standard lamp.

I thought I would have trouble finding an affordable LED replacement for the incandescent bulbs in my Whelen wingtip lights but this bulb fits perfectly and is very brightâ??perhaps even brighter than the original. Installation was easy and it cuts current draw dramatically. Iâ??m very pleased.

These are NOT as bright as an incandescent light. Period. They draw less amps. But they are pretty weak.

They replaced cheaper ones from another supplier that came apart when when I tried to insert them.

Easy install. Looks good, less power draw, super long life. Whats not to like?
