Uavionix has outstanding Tech Support. I recently bought an echo-UAT with the GPS package from Aircraft Spruce. I was not able to get much support from our avionics shops locally, as they are far to busy to bother with my small project. David @ Uavionix was able to step me through the process from start to finish. My project was complicated, by the carbon fiber structure of the air frame. On top of the installation of the Echo, I was faced with multiple sources of noise through my avionics, radio, intercom and about everything else. With Davids experience he was able to help point me to some of the sources of the interference thereby guaranteeing a successful outcome of the ADS-B performance report. He went far beyond, which brings credit to the Support team and to Uavionix.

Excellent product and customer support. Install was easy and straight forward. The built-in transponder monitor works well avoiding additional wiring to my Garmin GTX-327. Works great with FlyQ EFB app. Highly recommend this ADS-B transceiver.

Used the legacy installation (existing mode-C transponder) - straight forward. Works well. I use Foreflight App on iPad and no longer need the external GPS I had before - the uAvionix provides the location to the app also! Locks onto satellites very quickly. One caveat: If you operate near the Washington DC SFRA be aware that the FAAs ADS-B data for the 60 mile radius Speed reduction zone (Outside the TFR) causes the Foreflight App to treat it like an active TFR! (Youll get Approaching TFR and Inside TFR warning messages in that non-TFR zone) A really startling situation if you are not aware of this bug! It is NOT an App or hardware problem (as without the ADS-B it works correctly). I have been told that the FAA is aware of this but no correction is planned at the moment. Shouldnt be a problem for the rest of the country.

Have not completed the install, still working out the wiring details. The wires appear too short for my installation so will have to extend them. Will see how it works.

Grat product at a reasonable price. Easy ito install and simple to setup using the app downloaded on my tablet. Passed the FAA perforance test on the first flight after the install. Very happy with the results.

Easy installation. We have an early build RV-12 with a Garmin 327 transponder. I mounted it out of the way behind the panel, and ran coax to a TED UAT antenna. The first couple of PAPR reports I requested looked goo other than a lot of BARO ALT failures, so I contacted uAvionix support via email. They responded quickly and told me how to change the sensitivity setting in the setup app. It took a couple of flights to get it set right, but since then its been rock solid with no issues. Really enjoy having all the ADS-B supplied data available in the cockpit now... makes it so much easier and quicker to get the WX as were approaching a destination. If you own an Experimental, I highly recommend this for you. If you dont... well, I guess youre going to be spending a lot more!

Havenâ??t installed this yet, but the instructions are easy to sort out and the units are very compact. Should be great.

Short version: Works. Gets data from my old Narco KT76A. Did the airborne performance monitor with no exceptions on the first try. Longer version: Box is very small and easy to mount â?? it has two status LEDs on the top, but you have to be right in line with them to see them (dim and recessed a bit). I got lucky with antenna placement since my transponder antenna is well aft so I ended up putting the ADS-B antenna under the pilot seat â?? kinda close to the landing gear, but seems to work. If my transponder had been further up front, then I would have needed to get a long cable fabricated. But, I mounted the box between the stick and the pilot seat so I was able to use the short (8 inch or so) SMA-BNC adapter cable that was supplied to connect to the antenna â?? however I had to get a male to male BNC adapter and a right angle adapter to get it all to work. The instructions say the minimum ground plane for the antenna should be 120 mm (4 3/4â?) â??per sideâ?. I wasnâ??t clear if â??per sideâ? meant each side of a rectangle plate or each side of the antenna â?? the latter seems more likely. The biggest I could squeeze in between the tubes was about 12 inches square but it appears to work. I connected the power to the new breaker directly to the â??lineâ? input to the breaker for the KT-76A transponder to get the maximum common mode noise. Donâ??t know if that made any difference â?? but thatâ??s what I did. Seems to pick up the transponder code / altitude without problems. The harness comes with all the wires in the connector. I tried to get the unused ones out by Micky Mouseing a tool â?? no luck â?? you probably would need the actual Molex tool â?? so I have three extra wires hanging out since I just used the Wi-Fi to connect to my Android tablet. Downloaded software and setup was pretty easy. SkyFYX-EXT was an easy install. Wires were plenty long. Easy to connect. No setup required.

I have not installed the product yet, but the service from Aircraft Spruce was 5 Stars! I ordered it via telephone, and it arrived the next day!

This bundle is incomplete. The SMA-BNC cable it comes with has the same gender of BNC connector as the UAT antenna. An RG-400 cable with BNC-male connectors at both ends is required to make it work. Having the correct SMA-BNC cable would eliminate the need for a custom cable for aircraft that dont need one. It is silly that uAvionix has not thought of this, and it reduces my confidence in the rest of the product.

The Skyfyx all-in-one receiver was easy to install and worked as advertised. I used it along with the Echo UAT ADSB transceiver and it doesnâ??t get any easier.

Received unit quicker than promised. Installed quickly after running power and ground wires. Only one other wire to connect when using legacy transponder. Also used an L2 transmitter antenna to avoid another making a second ground plane or hole in my composite fuselage. Passed ADS-B flight test on first attempt. Nice unit!

The unit was the cheapest I could find and it works. I have not flown with it yet but it is programed and ready to go. I needed help with programing as it wouldnt accept the ICAO code and had to do a work around with the Ipad and then it went right in. Their support people were great!! It is installed in my Glasair 1, and is located in the fuselage as it is all glass. Delivery was overnight from CA to NV
