About the authors and illustrator: Ann Cooper has written nine books and hundreds of articles on aviation and aviation art. She is a pilot, flight instructor and an inductee of the Women in Aviation International Pioneer Hall of Fame. Charlie Cooper is a retired Air Force major general and master navigator. Jack Fellows is a widely recognized expert on aerial events of World War II. Fellows' paintings illustrate the stark contrast between the Pacific air war and the tranquil and peaceful Pacific Ocean.
