Iâ??m using mine in a Alpha Eagle helmet with a ANR after market dropin kit and it works great I can listen to music and take calls and will activate Siri with a touch of button. Basically you get exactly what is being advertised.

This Blue Link works great! Connects to my phone easily both music and phone calls sound good through my helmet. An added side benefit that I found is that it seems to filter out some of noise in the avionics that some of these old helicopters have. Of course the music quality is limited by your helmet or headsets speakers, but it sounds better than most of the 3.5mm direct input plugs I have used over the years.

I bought the BluLink for my Freecom InEar Headset and it works really great. Easy Plug&Play and good sound. Now I can hear music and make a phone call on long distances. The intercom and radio is still crystal clear and the music coming from the connected iPhone is ok. Expect not a concert hall, but for a noisy cockpit ok. I would still recommend to switch it off before take of and landing, to be concentrated.

I have been looking for an inexpensive device that would give me reliable cell phone capability while flying (GA). I tried the Lightspeed Sierra headset with Bluetooth and the performance with the cell phone while flying was very disappointing. I also tried the safety cell non-Bluetooth adaptor and it was not compatible with my intercom/radio system. I finally tried the pilot USA blulink and I have been completely satisfied. Calls are clear (on both ends of the call) and the device is easy to pair with my cell. I would highly recommend this device to anyone that likes their current non Bluetooth headset and is looking for an inexpensive device that will Bluetooth to their cell phone for use while airborne.

Overall great adapter. No problems pairing with my phone. I can walk away from the plane for up to 20-30 minutes come back and it re-pairs automatically. Very easy to actively listen to ATC while listening to music. I have had no problem communicating but a buddy monitoring told me that my transmission sounded Tinny as if I was in a can.

This is a great product and came highly recommended by numerous commercial helicopter pilots. I purchased mine and discovered that the new models no longer provide sidetone, they rely on the A/C intercom system for that. (I called the factory, they said too many noise issues.) An adjustment allowing the user to control his own level of sidetone as you would find on most A/C audio boxes would have been perfect for me. Other than that I have no complaints.

Distorts radio coms - incoming and broadcasting. Plays music and phone well.

Blulink causes distortion in the ICS system. I had to disconnect it. I have tried in several helicopters and the same issue came up. I can not use it and I will be returning it.

No right music stereo channel. Left only. Blulink doesnt care about music. As they told me on the phone, this was made for cell phone communication with the music feature as an after thought. Im not kidding, with music, the right channel is half volume as tested with a youtube video stereo test video. The stereo/mono switch only puts the left channel through both headset speakers. You must have a headset wired for stereo for this to work right, they say. If you dont, you will have sound in both ears, but it will ONLY be the left channel of your music. They see no issues with this because of reasons. They said this wasnt the first phone call about that they have gotten, but they appear to not care at all about fixing that. They say they did this because it would cause problems to blend the left and right channel. They dont appear to understand the purpose of mono or what mono actually means. I was unreadable when I tried to use the cell phone feature to file a flight plan with the engines running while on the ground. The comms are a bit garbled while using this adapter. It sounds a bit like people are talking into a tin can or through a kazoo. For the price of this thing, dont bother.
