Overview

The Rivet Nut is a one-piece internally threaded and counterbored tubular aluminum rivet that can be pulled up or headed while working entirely from one side, forming a bulge or head on the blind side. This upset is large enough to resist being pulled through metal or plastic even under conditions of eccentric load. It overcomes the difficulty of installing brackets, handles or other attachments to tubular pieces.

Steve L 23.11.2017	These little rivnuts make a great way to put threads in a hole. If youve got a #8 or #10 hole where a metal screw use to fit, but the hole has widened. Install these rivnuts and use a machined screw. Note you need a tool or bolt with nuts to install these. I used Keyless and worked fine.

William J 23.12.2019	You might want to put a 1/4 in inside lock washer on the backside of the panel before squeezing to help lock the rivet nut to the panel . Also an AN315 nut on the barrel of the tool to keep the aluminum threads from ripping out. Practice, practice, practice.

Robert J 21.07.2020	What can you say about Rivnuts? They work. They are easy to install and use. Even when installing a keyed rivnut I like to put some super glue on the shank and head just prior to installation, it makes for a much more sturdy and spin resistant nut installation. A great product.

Geoff G 22.12.2020	Your basic rivnut. When properly installed, does its job. Make sure to file a small notch in the receiving aluminum to avoid any turning during use.
